Over its period of maturation, The Balvenie DoubleWood is transferred from a traditional whisky oak cask to an original sherry oak cask. Each part of this ageing lends different qualities to the resulting whisky - the traditional wood softens and adds character, the cherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour. The Balvenie DoubleWood is a smooth and mellow single malt; full bodied, with a complexity born of the skills which attend its ageing.
